Barfield Halloween Bash Begins Oct. 21

The annual Barfield Halloween Bash will feature haunted holiday festivities, scary and not-so-scary hayrides and a carnival at Barfield Crescent Park on Oct. 21–24.
“Old Scream Road,” Murfreesboro’s scariest hayride, begins at dark each day and is recommended for ages 9 and over.
The “Not So Haunted Trail” offers families and little ones a scenic hayride through the backcountry campground where the creatures of the forest come out for a friendly greeting. This year’s hayride theme will be based on the book, “The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Scared of Anything.” The hayride will be held on Friday, Oct. 23, and Saturday, Oct. 24, from 5-7 p.m.
The “Spooky Nights Carnival,” held on Friday, Oct. 23, and Saturday, Oct. 24, from 5-8 p.m., will be packed with carnival games, face painting, music, dancing, costume and pumpkin carving contests.

Barfield Crescent Park is located at 697 Barfield Crescent Road, Murfreesboro. For more information, contact Thomas Laird at 867-4913 or email tlaird@murfreesborotn.gov.
