Even more than usual it seems this edition is filled with wonderment and magical beauty: a man piloting the shuttle Atlantis into space, the colorful characters of “Pee Wee’s Playhouse,” the legendary and eccentric Misfits, Where the Wild Things Are, hibachi grills and a dragon head made of wasabi.

Look for photo galleries dedicated to the art of Wayne White, Patricia Tenpenny and the artists featured in the upcoming local art studio tour. Many of the reviews in the paper are expanded on the web, and we want you, the reader, to visit and throw in your two cents, whether it’s on a restaurant or film, or the Tennessee restaurant carry bill. The site contains some web-only features as well, and it’s your 24-hour source for all of the concerts going on in the area.
Keep supporting local music and art. The Lavamen was awesome at last month’s Pulse showcase; these guys and girls go all out and always put on a fun show, and World Bazaar made its debut on the Murfreesboro scene. Look for more in the near future on this newly formed band.
For those who don’t have the least bit of self-control to not text while driving, but want to stop the habit, there’s now a program that disables a phone’s texting mechanism while you’re driving. That’s right, you can pay for something that could be accomplished by just leaving your phone alone when you’re behind the wheel. Genius.

When I wish for you to “have a good day,” know I’m saying more “I hope you make the decision to enjoy your life and be positive today” moreso than “I hope good things happen to you.”
Sometimes you can’t control everything, but even when unplanned or unfortunate experiences happen, you can still make the decision to have a good day, and convey that to the rest of the world instead of getting all depressed and overwhelmed.
Well, stay healthy, get your flu shot (I really don’t think there’s any kind of mind control substance the government puts in the H1N1 vaccine, so it’s probably a good idea for the rest of society to go ahead and get that) and send us those photos from Halloween.
