And, nothing says fall like football. Congrats to the Blue Raiders on taking their first game of the season. Though it was the result of a missed Florida International PAT, the “W” looks the same. They’ll have a tough one this Saturday against Maryland, not to mention Oklahoma, Louisville and South Carolina down the road, but we’ll be paying close attention.
An incredible one-handed TD grab by Louisiana Tech and some nice trickery by Vanderbilt and South Carolina added highlights to opening week. And what’s up with UT’s low preseason ranking? They came out strong against Cal.

Exciting news at everyone’s favorite burrito joint: Blue Coast, in conjunction with The Murfreesboro Pulse, Music World and DefKat Music, announce the opening night of Blue Coast After-Hours every week beginning this Saturday. This event will showcase some of the area’s most talented songwriters.
In response to Mr. Reynolds’ look ahead to the 2008 presidential election in the last MP: if it turns into a McCain/Mrs. Clinton showdown, how much more attractive could it be for the Republicans? While McCain is somewhat militant, he does seem realistic and fair-minded enough to win over some Democrats. However, The Pulse still fully endorses the Stewart/Colbert ticket.
