Dodgeball teams representing local businesses came to the Rutherford Family YMCA on Saturday, Sept. 13, to participate in the annual corporate dodgeball tournament. For the third year in a row, the Greenbriar Landscape team (pictured above) took the first-place title. Also, in a special military minitournament, the Marines defeated teams from the Navy, Air Force and National Guard to take the Godwin-Golczynski Memorial Cup.

The event raised over $30,000 for YMCA programs, allowing families to enjoy the facility.

“Over one-third of our members receive some form of financial assistance to enable them to be involved in a YMCA program,” said Jan Berry, senior regional development director with the local YMCA. “No one is turned away for the inability to pay.”

If your business would like to play in next year’s tournament, start practicing, the competition is fierce.
