Jumping for Jesus: Coliseum hosts stunt event

The Tennessee Miller Coliseum hosted a ministry event that included stunts, drama, music and more Wednesday, Oct. 24.

Springfield, Mo., based Real Encounters Outreach and the Tennessee Baptist Convention have teamed up to bring the production to 10 towns throughout Tennessee. Real Encounter utilizes riding, skating, music and drama skills as a gateway to speak to young people about Christianity.

The night included a flat land trick skateboarder, a balancing acrobat, motorcycles jumping over the main stage and a captivating dramatic theatrical performance. DJ Riley Armstrong kept the energy alive and lead into each event with some dance music, keeping the kids excited.

While most of the youth in attendance were from local churches, some had no idea the high-flying biker knocking out glass and trying to make a sunroof in a junked out car was going to share his story of finding Jesus.

After a mass gathering for prayer at the front of the stage, a Christian rock band took the stage.

The night was certainly eventful and influential.
