Do you like to get it on? Do like to get down and/or dirty? Well, boy do I have a book for you! This book is so hot, it transcends the physical. Seriously . . . it transcends the physical.
The subtitle to “The Art of Sexual Ecstasy” is “The Path to Sacred Sexuality for Western Lovers.” And that’s what this book discusses. Sacred sexuality. As in an ecstatic spiritual union rather than a strictly materialistic event.
Margo Anand has devoted most her life to understanding the sweet science of bumpin’ uglies. This includes having studied under Tantric masters, Taoist sexologists, South American mystics, and good-ole-fashioned Western academicians. Anand has distilled her learnings (and she learned, like, a lot) into a practice that she calls High Sex. She has prepared this particular approach specifically for, as the subtitle suggests, a Western audience. We Westerners, having our heads lodged far into vast, unexplored regions of the ass, are unfamiliar with the fundamentals of a spiritual side of existence that does not involve undue helpings of guilt, shame and fear. Thankfully, we are provided with Anand’s helpful and accessible teachings. The book offers explanations in a user-friendly language along with pragmatic exercises that can be practiced alone or with a friend.
Another aspect of “The Art of Sexual Ecstasy” with which many Westerners may not be comfortable is the objective of High Sex, or, in other words, how you’re supposed to do it. It does not involve Viagra, breast implants, vibrators, or vigorous athletic training. On the contrary, High Sex is about the understanding and focusing of inherent bodily energies, deep relaxation, meditative breathing, slow, deliberate movements, and (gasp!) a true and intimate connection with a partner on a deep emotional and spiritual level.
Not to say that the ground-and-pound style of male-dominated, porno-emulated, degrading, and brief sex that everyone is accustomed to is wrong, it’s just retarded and ignorant. And, for all of you ultra-depraved sickos out there, the book has some great instructive illustrations. Grab a friend, some lube, and a prophylactic, and get your groove on.
