Dear Readers:
Somehow it seems the Republican presidential candidates are more interested in engaging in real taxation and economic debates than the Democrats.
The old “It’s time for a change” and “Bush and his administration are greedy, power hungry idiots” lines are really not that cutting edge anymore. It doesn’t take a lot of backbone to bash a president with an approval rating lower than Verne Troyer doing the limbo.
It would have taken backbone, and impressed a much larger number of Americans, for the party to stand up to the Toxic Texan throughout his regime’s reign. For some reason, my money’s on the Democrats blowing the election.
Speaking of politicians, the greatest thing I’ve seen on television in a long time? an anaconda swallowing an entire goat. That’s must-see TV.
Anyway, I’d like to publicly announce the formation of The Pulse party, dedicated to promoting all things with a beat. As your president, I’ll take the astronomical amount of money now used to destroy and rebuild faraway lands and put a piano in every home, a cherry on every sundae, and, as a result of that sugary policy, a filling in every cavity.
Wait, what’s that you say? Much of the money to fund this enterprise in Iraq doesn’t even exist in any real form and is borrowed from other countries or just ordered up from “our” treasury like a billion dollar bucket of chicken at the drive through window. (The kind that causes your inflation to skyrocket)
Well that seems quite American, racking up unrealistic debts to fund things that aren’t really that great of an idea in the first place.
I will need to wait a while for my presidential bid though. There’s quite a lot going on with The Pulse in the near future.
We have Pulse night at the Nashville Sounds game Aug. 28. Check out the next edition for more information and your chance to win a picnic for four and tickets to the game.
Also come join us at our end of summer luau and pool party at The Point at Raiders Campus on Sept. 8.
Looking ahead to football season, the first ever Blue Raider Wave is hitting the streets of Murfreesboro this October.
And many more events and showcases are in the works.
Check in at boropulse.com periodically for all the local shows and features on great artists and restaurants. Leave a comment, send a letter. Keep the ideas coming Murfreesboro.
I’m nearly exhausted. I’m going to Florida.
Peace,
