Those who think metal is dead need to wake up and smell the sweaty Speedo of annihilation!
DDD’s Devour The Power is out now.
It’s another good release from Metal Blade (Black Market Activities), except this time it’s local. This release has proven DDD is a serious metal band and might put Murfreesboro on the map.
Be ready to get ripped apart by this album.
DDD combines elements of various types of metal, from the glam rock of the ’80s to the thrashers of the ’90s to the modern death/Scandinavian metal bands.
These guys are the real deal, not like some of the typical wussy, gaytarded metal bands out there. They have embarked on a medieval rampage. No one will be spared, and everything will be pillaged.
Destroy Destroy Destroy’s great showmanship, heavy riffs and the talent of its live performance came through well on the CD.
The band recorded and produced the record in an awesome studio (Anthem Productions), owned and operated by one of its guitar players, Jeremiah Scott. The recording quality is great, so this guy clearly knows his way around a studio as well as a guitar.
Devour the Power is packed with nonstop brutal metal that will keep you on the edge of your seat and head banging from start to finish.
If it’s metal that you want, I suggest you go out and buy DDD shirts, stickers and, most of all, the CD, which is so heavy it will make you punch your friend in the face.
The band describes its existence very accurately on its MySpace page as what would happen when a four square team comprised of Iron Maiden, Children of Bodom, Slayer and Metallica?owned by Judas Priest and coached by Pantera?take Mount Doom by storm.
