Capitalist Lost

Capitalist Lost by Caroline G.

Feeling sad

Feeling blue

A world of confusion

With nothing to do.

A move, relocate?

To start anew

What’s the prescription for a heavy heart

That exists in a world?

a vacant hue.

All around me is life,

capitalist pride?

Concrete implosion-

A rueful smile.

I’m lost in the sea,

no store can save?

I’m angry and hurt?

no purchase can sway.

What will come of me in this planet of despair

Where everyone speaks love, but back in their lair

They plot and plan to increase

Evermore?their earnings,

their capital?portfolio lore.

I’m not of them?I know!

An apple for me?not from CHINA, CHILE,

or SOME FOREIGN SEA

But an apple from a tree picked by my hand?

MY GARDEN,

MY COUNTRY?

UNITED WE STAND?
