This will be the final issue of our publication produced by Bracken and Sarah as an unmarried couple. We may have shown signs of a married couple in the past, but this weekend, we’re making it official.
We’re off to Hawaii! And there will be a Mrs. Mayo returning with me.
We’ll go swim with the fishes, see the tropical underwater environment, and maybe ride a wave or two on a surfboard.
Sarah and I will come back to the ’Boro and settle into a place. It’s been a busy few weeks, but we can’t wait to be married and get moved into our new home.

I’m no expert on antitrust laws or what constitutes an illegal price fix, but it seems suspicious that all gas stations spike up the price of fuel simultaneously. The definition of price fixing: competitors conspiring to raise the price of a product or service to an artificially high level for the collective financial gain of the sellers. Someone should be in jail.
Something for the collective gain of the local music community: Coach’s Grill is going to rock on Saturday, Sept. 27, with the first-ever Coach’s-palooza.
Woodenwire will have beer for breakfast with everyone, and music fans can party into the night with the Midnight Riders bringing the sounds of the Allman Brothers and the sweet Southern rock of The Last Straw.
Look for more outdoor music events in this very same lot as neighboring Chef Raymond’s prepares a concert deck for future performances under the open sky.
Everyone should visit boropulse.com each week and enter their picks for the following week’s NFL games. The participant with the top record each week wins great prizes, and bragging rights.
Who can beat the Train Daddy?
After two weeks, your editor is 21-10, indeed, a score good enough to be beating the Train up to this point. But I realize it’s a long season, there’s much more knowledge to gain and wins to predict before I can truly claim victory over the columnist this season.
The Pulse team put up some good performances before going down in a controversial five-game match at the annual YMCA corporate dodgeball tournament. If only there was instant reply to sort out the madness . . . oh well, it’s just dodgeball. But it was a fun event and we’ll be back next year.
Peace,
Bracken Mayo, Editor in Chief
