World renowned Cirque Du Soliel is bringing its big top acrobatic show to Nashville’s Sommet Center on April 9 – 12.
Since Cirque’s creation in 1984 it has performed for close to 80 million spectators in over 200 cities on five continents.
While different Cirque shows tour around the world at the same time, its Saltimbanco production will be coming to Middle Tennessee later this month.
Described as an allegorical and acrobatic journey, Saltimbanco is said by organizers to be inspired by the urban fabric of the metropolis and its colorful inhabitants. Since its world premiere in 1992, Saltimbanco has toured the world and thrilled more than 10 million people. For 14 years, the show performed in the trademark Cirque du Soliel big top.
In 2007 it embarked on an arena tour giving more audiences the chance to enjoy a show that combines theater, dance and music with spectacular costumes, lighting and make-up. The cast of 50 high-caliber artists hail from 20 countries and will amaze audiences with their astonishing acrobatics presented in the unique Cirque style.
