Reconstructing the Bike

The Marly Berger Gallery at the Arts Center of Cannon County will exhibit “Frame Work: Reconstructing the Modern Bicycle” through Aug. 15.

The show features customized takes on bicycles from Adam Gaskill, Andrew Logan and Levi Cataldo.

“I find abandoned bikes, or ones at yard sales, chop them up and weld their mass together creating something new,” Gaskill said. “All my ideas usually start out as drawings, then I find bikes that resemble parts of the drawing and from there I begin to chop and weld.”

The artists’ combined influences include hot rod culture, 1950s and 1960s automobiles, rock ’n’ roll and hip-hop music and the art works of Ed “Big Daddy” Roth.

The Arts Center is located at 1424 John Bragg Highway in Woodbury. For more information, call (615) 563-2787.
