The new Emporium nightclub wants to give Murfreesboro something to laugh about this February. For one night only, comedian Steve Hofstetter will be coming in town to deliver some blunt and hilarious stand up from his current national tour.
Hofstetter, whose mouth is on fire like his hair, is best known for his “comedy without apology.” He spins on controversial issues like politics, race, and religion with a sharp tongue and keeps the crowds laughing with his poke-fun attitude.
If you haven’t been exposed to Hofstetter’s work, Hofstetter has been featured on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Showtime’s “White Boyz in the Hood,” ESPN’s “Quite Frankly,” and has been a frequent guest on over 170 radio shows. He was also
collegehumor.com’s original columnist.
The team bringing Hofstetter to Murfreesboro is local booking agency Next Round Talent Group, who organizes and brings together comedy shows all over the nation. Live event coordinator Jason Evans has booked events in local venues to large theaters in all 50 states.
“This is the first time we are bringing a comedian to Emporium, as well as the city of Murfreesboro,” Evans said. “Since our office is based here, we are really excited to bring some comedy to Murfreesboro this year.”
Next Round has been affiliated with TV productions “Saturday Night Live,” “Chelsea Lately,” and booking comedians for Comedy Central. The company has extended branches in New York and Los Angeles.
Steve Hofstetter will be at Emporium on Thursday, Feb. 4, at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are available online through stevehofstetter.com, as well as some videos of Hofstetter’s previous shows and online work to get you excited.
