Moogfest, a three-day music festival which was previously held in New York City, will relocate to Asheville, N.C., Oct. 29-31 to celebrate Robert Moog’s amazing musical creations such as the Minimoog Voyager, the Little Phatty, the Etherwave Theremin and the hailed new Moog Guitar.
This festival will be jam packed with nationally known artists of the electronic influence featuring Pretty Lights, Spongle, Pnuma Trio, Big Boi, Thievery Corporation, Mutemath, Mimosa and even Devo, and will spread to many venues including the Asheville Civic Center, Thomas Wolfe Auditorium and The Orange Peel which was named by Rolling Stone as one of the best rock clubs in the country.
In addition to music, Moogfest will have interactive workshops for the audience offering panel discussions with the artists, question and answer sessions, installations, visual art exhibitions, and film screenings, and will even give the audience a chance to explore and define their own musical creativity with a variety of Moog instruments.
