Who Will Lead the Titans out of This Mess?

It is Sunday—the Train Daddy’s fun day, the one day of the week I am a free man and do whatever tickles my pickle. After a full Monday through Saturday workload, I get to escape to my pleasure, mother football, whom I love with every beat of my heart. Every Sunday during the football season, I show my loyalty, as I study the game with passion and cheer with dedication as a true fan. I love the game so much, the crowd, the atmosphere, the color of the field turf, the energy and scenery at a home game, it’s magical.

So after week 12 of the NFL season, I have a pretty good idea of the teams that are the real deal, the so-so and the crap. In the NFC, the dirty birds are the real deal at 9-2, as Matt Ryan is proving he can compete with the big name QBs. The Fudge Packers at 7-4 have the right tools to get the job done. The Bears 8-3 and the Buccaneers 7-4 are my surprise teams in the NFC. Josh Freeman is playing real football (surprise), and Jay Cutler isn’t an interception machine this year, he has the Bears rolling. Watch out for the Saints at 8-3; for whatever reason they are flying under the radar, and that’s dangerous for whoever has to play them.

So lets move on to a real conference, the AFC where the big boy teams reside. This one is hard for me, but I believe the best team now is hands down the Patriots at 9-2. That hurts to say as I am a Patriot hater. Bill Bellicheck got rid of his problem in Moss and has never looked back. Also at the top of this conference, you have the Jets, the Ravens and the Steelers, and defense wins championships. Nobody in their right mind wants to play any of those teams come cold post season play, because them boys hit you in the mouth. When it comes down to the top NFC and the top AFC teams, you have the pretty, finesse NFC and the tough, hit-you-in-the-mouth AFC, we all now who typically prevails come post season. My surprise team from the AFC would have to go to the Arrow Heads, with Kansas City at 7-4 they are playing special football. The Colts and Chargers both at 6-5 are both dangerous, Peyton is Peyton and Phillip Rivers finally has his team playing after a rough start to the season. I would match up either of those 6-5 teams against the NFC’s best talent and still feel confident.

It’s just they way it is God made the grass green, and the sky blue. He made the Train Daddy a sports genius, and God also made me very handsome. One thing also is true God made the AFC the better conference, the NFC has talent, but the big boys play in the AFC!

Well here I go with my Titans rant and talk. How Bout Them Titans???!!!!??? Well, it is a mess, my friends, a real mess and the other side does not look sunny. First off, my prayers and thoughts go to Mike Heimerdinger as he will begin chemotherapy and his battle with cancer. I mean that, Cancer is tough and I have had friends and family win and loss that battle, the tough survive and I know that man is a fighter.

So what do I say about my team here in the midst of the regular season standing at 5-6? The problem starts at quarterback, not at the coaching position, right now no-name Rusty Smith has had a lot of weight thrown on his shoulders, and it’s not his fault. Vince Young in my opinion is acting like a classless uneducated moron who has no business playing quarterback. Even if he did have the talent to take a team to the Super Bowl, he lacks the talent to lead. I hope he grows up and proves me wrong, but I am die hard Titans fan, I study the team, the players and Vince is a baby who when not given his way, decides to go his own way. The other man involved here is head coach Jeff Fisher, the longest-tenured coach in the game; I am a fan and respect Coach Fisher. I am going to be real here and say what everyone knows and thinks; we all love Coach Fisher but after 16 damn years, NO SUPER BOWL! The year that really got me upset and disappointed was a couple of years ago starting 10-0, getting home-field advantage and losing to the Ravens at home in the first round. I hope it all works out for the best here, but how do you get new results, better results, that would be from change?! Yeah I am preaching to the choir, but I am serious. Over the past couple of seasons we’ve had the hottest young running back in the game, a young fast quarterback that was developing, a potential superstar in Kenny Britt and a defense that was young and hitting people in the mouth. I will tell you what I have now, we have a Hall of Fame receiver in Moss that they won’t throw the ball to, and it’s a matter of time before that’s a problem. We now have a coaching carousel at head coach and offensive coordinator, no quarterback, irate fans and a pissed off owner. If Jeff Fisher is the man I believe him to be, this has got to be the most demanding test of his career, and I do believe and hope he can fix it soon. I say I believe, but am very skeptical the situation has a resolution without consequences that will dramatically change this franchise I love so much. This is the roughest time ever to be a Titans fan, but I bleed code blue, that fake fans will die off and the loyal fans will stick around. I am just excited to get this resolved, there’s a lot of questions that need answers, and the Train will be with the Titans riding hard all the way to the promised land.

Well the Train is out. I am riding dirty out of the station, and it feels good. It’s almost Fantasy Football playoff time, and the Train Daddy Mafia is sitting pretty in fourth at 7-5. I have won the last 5 out of 6 and am on a hot streak heading into the playoffs homie. So if anyone wants to mess with my Titans, or my fantasy team, I will Albert Head stomp ya punk ass!
