In the Run Chikin Run 10k, held the morning of Sept. 3 on the portion of the Murfreesboro Greenway system traveling through Gateway Island Park and Stones River Battlefield, 28-year-old Micah Tirop led the field with a 33:38 time, and Theresa Saupe, 49, of Murfreesboro led the ladies with a 42:07 finishing time.
Every 25th finisher in this one won free meals for a year at Chick-Fil-A, the race sponsor.
At the Warrior Dash down in Manchester, a pair of 27-year-olds won this obstacle-laden 5k—Jack McAfee with a 21:38 time and Josie Reynolds finishing in 25:54.
