The Steam Boars laid a groove down at The Boro Bar & Grill on Oct. 20 reminiscent of bands such as Dispatch, Phish and Grateful Dead.
The trio is led by Terry Luther who trained at Berklee College of Music. Terry started the set with vamping guitar riffs and vocals that progressed to jazz influenced guitar solos and then all out jamming from the three members.
They showcased original songs from their own repertoire and intermingled covers of The Talking Heads, Grateful Dead and Red Hot Chili Peppers throughout the show that brought the audience jamming alongside The Steam Boars.
A solid rhythm section accompanied the lead guitarist with Jeremy Saltz on the six-string bass guitar and Michael Moore on the drum set, each taking solos throughout the set. Impressively, each member of the band took turns at lead vocals.
The Steam Boars are set to perform in Chattanooga, Knoxville and Chicago in the month of November. Like the band on Facebook here
