Each year, Hippie Hill’s music and festival season kicks off with Metal Fest, which will be seeing its third year on March 28 and 29, 2014.
The roster this year includes 21 bands and musicians from seven states, including Oklahoma, Texas, Michigan, Florida, Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee.
Among the performing bands are Even the Dogs, This City Awaits, Sound Arsenal, Unarmed for Victory and Hellbent. Some of the top local metal acts include Doom Factor and Unclean Us.
It has become one of the premiere metal events for the Mid-TN area, and nowhere else will you see this amount of talent, from so wide an area, for this cheap of a price.
The headliners on Friday, March 28, are locals Cold Truth.
“Hippie Hill has gone through some very positive changes, and the monthly musical camping weekends have upgraded for safety and quality,” promoter Richard Thornton said. “The amount of talent that will be coming to the Hill will be phenomenal and sets up for some can’t-miss weekends for the music enthusiast.”
Weekend admission is $25, which includes camping. Festival posters will be available at the event.
Metal Head Radio will also be involved again this year, with Host KBar Newman of the Bearded Clam Show and Unclean Us guesting.
Hippie Hill is located at 8627 Burks Hollow Road, Christiana. For more information on Hippie Hill and the March Metal Fest, call (615) 801-3433, like Hippie Hill TN on Facebook or visit hippiehilltn.org.
