Escape into the woods for a day with a community of adventure seekers, explorers, risk-takers and nature lovers at Boro Adventure Fest at The Wilderness Station (697 Veterans Pkwy.) Saturday, April 21, from noon–4 p.m. With the help of Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Dept., all proceeds benefit Candle Wishes, a local non-profit that fulfills the birthday wishes and provides essential needs for homeless and needy children in the community (candlewishes.org). The adventure begins with a hike through the woods and continues with live music by Hogslop String Band and the Hardin Draw alongside campfires, food, hammocking, slacklining and rock climbing.
