Music Scholar Greg Reish Sings Neil Young

Local Neil Young fans are in for a treat as local musician and scholar Greg Reish tackles numerous selections from the “Godfather of Grunge”’s back catalog.

Reish, who currently serves as the Director of the Center for Popular Music at MTSU, is a classically trained musician and scholar who holds a doctorate in historical musicology. He will combine his vast knowledge of music and his performing talents for a night of classics and “obscure gems,” as well as some of the stories behind the original compositions.

The event, which is open to the public, will be held at Hinton Music Hall inside MTSU’s Wright Music Building on April 8 at 7 p.m.
