April 5: Episode 225 – At 8 a.m. the show welcomes Nashville-based recording artist Geoffrey Lewis to the studio to play live! Originally from Pennsylvania, Lewis has found success all over the globe. He worked in South Korea for a time and had two of his songs featured in Kia commercials—“Gravity” and “You Drive Me Wild.” He will drop by to play the new single “Little Spaces.”
At 9 a.m., acclaimed musician and songwriter Rod Picott will drop by to debut his new book and album combo, Out Past the Wires. This 22-song collection ranges from whispery ballads to guitar-driven rockers and hits everywhere between. He will also share some of the poetry from the book. April 12: Episode 226 – During the 8 o’clock hour the show welcomes fiddler Lacie Carpenter. Born and raised in Texas, Lacie grew up singing and playing all types of music and instruments. She quickly found out the fiddle and violin came to be her favorites. Now residing in Nashville, Carpenter both plays and teaches the fiddle. Having appeared with Mark O’Connor, Jimmy Fortune, Mark Wood, Jonna Fitzgerald and more, Carpenter is constantly on the go; she is the winner of 12 East Texas Music Awards. At 9 a.m. the show welcomes back Howard and David, the Bellamy Brothers. It has been two years since our last visit and they will discuss their new book, Let Your Love Flow: The Life and Times of the Bellamy Brothers, out April 17. April 19: Episode 227 – L.A.-based artist Caleche Ryder will visit at 7:30 a.m. Caleche, the “West Coast Cowgirl,” grew up riding horses and memorizing country songs in rural San Diego. Obtaining a degree from the University of Nevada and riding her horse, Harley, she competed for the title of Miss Nevada. Her first project features her West Coast influences, while the upcoming second album focuses on her home away from home, Nashville. More information can be found at calecherydermusic.com.
April 26: Episode 228 – During the 8 o’clock hour the show welcomes Heidi Raye back. Raye, signed to Harlan Howard Records in Nashville, has just finished a tour of Australia and enjoys playing music for fans everywhere.
