Murfreesboro Little Theatre presents Save! Toyland to conclude its 2018 theatrical offerings.

Jose Maldonado wrote and directs this work, both a sequel to and a revision of Victor Herbert’s classic opera Babes in Toyland.

In this version, the evil Barnaby, now calling himself Barnabas, has decided to take matters into his own hands and finish the job his lackeys, Roderigo and Gonzorgo, have never been able to do. It is up to Mary Contrary, Jack Be Nimble, Boy Blue, Bo Peep and Jack and Jill to band together and save Toyland.

This show is appropriate for all ages.

Save! Toyland opens on Friday, Dec. 7, with performances at 7 p.m. Dec. 7, 8, 13, 14 and 15; and at 2 p.m. on Dec. 9 and 16.
