Mayday is brewing hope for veterans on Saturday, Oct. 12, through a special evening, billed Warrior Revival, featuring four published singer-songwriters who all have strong military ties.
Songwriters Sal Gonzalez (an America’s Got Talent contestant), Stephen Cochran and Tyler Jay all served in the United States Marine Corps. Singer-songwriter Sam Tate is a Vietnam Army veteran. He’s known for co-writing such songs as the powerful No. 1 “Moments” by Emerson Drive, “Shut Up and Drive” by Chely Wright and the No. 1 “If You’re Going Through Hell” by Rodney Atkins. Heavy-hitting country music artists Gary Allan, Mark Chesnutt, Joe Nichols and Sammy Kershaw are also among those who’ve taken him up on his words. Additionally, Tate has appeared in music videos of Cochran’s.
