Sister Act, the feelgood musical comedy based on the hit 1992 film, plays at the Murfreesboro Center for the Arts Nov. 4–20.
In the show, one which should get audiences jumping to their feet, disco diva Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a murder and is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she won’t be found: a convent. Using her unique dance moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church and community.
Tickets for Sister Act are $18 for adults; $16 for seniors, students and military; and $14 for children. Rated PG.
Showtimes are Fridays and Saturdays, Nov. 4, 5, 11, 12, 18 and 19 at 7:30 p.m.; and Sundays, Nov. 6, 13 and 20 at 2 p.m.
