Moon Over Buffalo Plays at Arts Center of Cannon County

Ken Ludwig’s Moon Over Buffalo will run through Sunday, April 16, at the Arts Center of Cannon County.

In the madcap comedy tradition of Lend Me a Tenor, the hilarious Moon Over Buffalo centers on George and Charlotte Hay, fading stars of the 1950s. At the moment, they’re playing in Private Lives and Cyrano De Bergerac in repertory theatre in Buffalo, New York, with five actors. On the brink of a disastrous split-up caused by George’s dalliance with a young ingénue, they receive word that they might just have one last shot at stardom: Director Frank Capra (best known for It’s a Wonderful Life) is coming to town to see their matinee and, if he likes what he sees, he might cast them in his movie remake of The Scarlet Pimpernel.

Tickets for Moon Over Buffalo are $15 for adults and $13 for seniors and students and are on sale at artscenterofcc.com, by calling 615-563-ARTS (2787), or in person at the Arts Center of Cannon County box office, 1424 John Bragg Hwy., Woodbury.

Moon Over Buffalo is rated PG. Remaining performance dates are Fridays and Saturdays, April 7, 8, 14 and 15 at 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday, April 16, at 2 p.m.

It is directed by Danielle Storvik and produced by Cyndie Verbeten with Stephanie Long serving as assistant director.

The cast includes:
George – Ted Verbeten
Charlotte – Cyndie Verbeten
Paul – Patrick Jones
Roz – Abby Webb
Howard – John Ortiz
Ethel – Lourdes Luster
Richard – Steven Luster
Eileen – Elizabeth Scott
