World Outreach Church Presents Five Outdoor Worship Concerts; Matthew West Kicks Off Series Sept. 30

Get ready to congregate. Autumn is in the air and as leaves come down, praises go up. Feed your spirit and your body at World Outreach Church throughout five weeks of fall at a series of outside festivities one may say was designed with the true “outsider” in mind.

Outdoor services will be held on Saturday evenings from Sept. 30 through Oct. 28. The five-week series will include worship concerts, baptisms, food trucks and biblical messages.

To borrow a line from his song “You Changed My Name,” Dove Award winning and Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Matthew West hopefully helps his listeners go from too far gone to changed by grace with solid tunes and a decent dose of banter, too. West opens the series on Saturday, Sept. 30.

The Isaacs

Long-running gospel and bluegrass family band (and, as of 2021, Grand Ole Opry members) The Isaacs  take the stage on Oct. 21 for a set likely to include their a cappella “You’re the Inspiration” rendition or their recently recorded, sublimely beautiful take on the pleading Don Williams’ classic “Lord, I Hope This Day Is Good”) .

The series will also feature artists David Leonard on Oct. 7, Katy Nichole on Oct. 14, and We the Kingdom on Oct. 28.

Services begin each Saturday at 6 p.m. and end with a free concert immediately following the message from Pastor Allen Jackson. Sunday services are at 9:30 a.m. and the guest musicians will lead worship there as well.

We the Kingdom

Watch Trinity Broadcasting Network’s video of WOC Pastor Allen Jackson joining Matthew West at West’s headlining Ryman debut “My Story, Your Glory” (also the title of his 2023 double album)—which aired on TBN in February and features other artists, like Lainey Wilson, too—here.

Fall Festival concerts are free to attend. Children’s ministry will be available beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Seating is provided outdoors, but feel free to bring your favorite lawn chair or blanket. Food trucks will be open two hours before the service begins. Visit wochurch.org for more information on the series and the artists.

The World Outreach Church website and YouTube channel often stream these concerts live and/or post snippets with specific songs.

World Outreach Church is located at 1921 New Salem Hwy., Murfreesboro.
