Although Panther Creek Brews has announced that it will close its Murfreesboro taproom, customers will have just a few last chances to hang out and hear live music at the 714 W. Main St. venue.
A special band composed of Fred Reilly, Joey Fletcher, Lisa Law and other guests will perform on Saturday, Oct. 5, beginning at 6 p.m. Roland Justice, another Panther Creek regular, will open the music that day, playing from 3–5 p.m. Southern Kitchen Classics food truck will be onsite that evening for the farewell event.
Prior to that, Panther Creek will host Muddy Boots on Wednesday, Oct. 2, open mic comedy with Josh Fox on Thursday, Oct. 3, and the Jeremy Pinell Trio on Friday, Oct. 4.
While the taproom will close following the Oct. 5 show, Panther Creek plans to continue brewing beer.
“We will continue with brewing operations and distribution as we aim to spread our brand everywhere,” said Panther Creek co-owner Jeremy Taylor. “Panther Creek Brews will continue to live on.”
Its followers can find Panther Creek products at Stones River Total Beverage, CNG Wine and Spirits, Jack Brown’s, Burger Republic, BoomBozz and other area retailers, restaurants and festivals.
“We need our efforts and investments put into the beer side versus the bar side of business,” Taylor said, calling the closure a “bittersweet pivot to keep the Creek alive.”
