The 2024 Murfreesboro Christmas Parade

Though the cool December sky was greyed,
Crowds lined the street–it’s the Christmas Parade!

Grinches and elves rolled down East Main Street,
As in the distance played a marching band’s beat.

Tootsie Rolls and Dum-Dums fell from the sky,
While the Sheriff, Coach Mason and dancers passed by.

Rain sprinkled down but the crowd did not care,
The parade paraded on to the Murfreesboro Square.

Horses, skateboards, wagons pulled by mowers,
Trucks and trailers and giant bubble blowers.

Elvis in a tiki hut for the “Blue Christmas” season,
But nativity scenes proclaimed that Jesus is the reason.

The townsfolk were all filled with holiday cheer,
So if you missed it get your family to the parade next year!

Thank you for capturing these memories and sharing it with others. It was great to see Sarah and Bracken Jr. (although briefly) as we passed by.

Merry Christmas from Red Barn Financial
