Music of the fab four makes its way to Murfreesboro for symphony performance

The Murfreesboro Symphony Orchestra will kick off its 2007 – 08 season with a Beatles tribute concert performed with rock band The Rewinders.

The evening’s performance, held at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, at World Outreach Church, will be filled with selections of the Beatles catalog.

The Murfreesboro Symphony Orchestra provides professional classical, pops, and youth education music programming for the Middle Tennessee area. The orchestra is lead by music director Jeff Reed who is known for his unorthodox method of combining classical and popular music on the same program.

The nine-member rock band, The Rewinders, have performed to sell-out crowds for the past seven years. Most recently they performed, to rave reviews, with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra as the headliner in the Piccolo Spoleto Festival.
