Band Battle Enters Semifinals

The Yuengling Battle of the Bands at Bluesboro is set to enter into its semifinal round on Tuesday, June 3, and Tuesday, June 10.

By its end, the contest will have run every Tuesday night for 11 weeks. The first round lasted eight weeks and featured a different genre each night, before the series moved into the later rounds.

Seven of the eight semifinalists have been chosen: Rollo Greb, winner of the southern rock week; Blindman’s Peace from the blues week; metal week champion A New Deception; R&B/Pop week champion Casme; Hippie/Folk week winner Mike Anderson; Country week winner Ty Nelson; and indie/rock week winner Bellianto. The last semifinalist will be chosen on May 27, when the featured genre will be rock.

The finals will take place June 17, and the winning band stands to win a headlining show at Bluesboro, $1,000 at Concert Productions and a $1,000 cash prize.

The second and third prize winners will also receive cash prizes, and look for all eight finalists to play future gigs at Bluesboro.
