The Murfreesboro Bark Park, located on the greenway just of the General Bragg Trailhead, is a great place for dog owners and their dogs to interact and relax.
As the weather begins to get warmers, more dog owners are likely looking for a place to exercise and socialize their dogs in a safe environment. With no breed restrictions and easy to follow guidelines, both dog and owner can enjoy their experience.
“It’s a great place for her to run off some of her pent-up energy,” Gloria Hoekman said of her dog, Baby. “It’s also a good place to meet other dog owners.”
The Dog Park features two separate fenced in areas, one for small dogs and the other for large dogs. Separate holding areas are also on site if a dog may need to cool off. Water is usually available and toys are frequently left behind much to the enjoyment of other dogs.
The Bark Park of Murfreesboro is also people friendly in that it provides access for those who are elderly or have limited mobility.
The Bark Park’s hours of operation are from daylight to 30 minutes before dark. It is located West College Street.
