Let me, the Train, tip my hat to all you football fans across this great country who show up every Sunday at your team’s stadium to cheer them on. God bless all of you, because it’s cold, very cold, here in the midst of December and me and my people were freezing at last Sunday’s Titans victory.
This isn’t Green Bay, this isn’t Foxborough, this isn’t Steelers country?this is Nashville, Tennessee. Our people here don’t embrace the cold. Don’t get me wrong. We are out there until the last second of the game, no matter the score. I had one glove, cold ears and numb toes last week. In Tennessee we embrace special people, so let’s go Titans!
What about all you Jets fans? Mr. Brett Favre and big market New York, you guys are hurting to even win the division now. I love some Brett, the living legend; this man has done wonders for the sport. It just makes me smile now that we all can agree the Jets are good, but they are not great.
What would define great? Well I would say that 12-1 sounds and looks great, or maybe even a 1,000-yard rusher, who is a rookie, and watching him play week to week. Take Collins, who throws, manages, leads and never looks rattled doing it. Take the big taco who compliments Chris Johnson and gets tough yards and does the famous double bounce, bounce dance after each score. Take a defense that takes care of business?all led by the best coach in football. That’s what I define as great.
On Dec. 21 two great defenses will take the field at L.P. Its going to be a shame that Big Ben is going to end up pounded all day, Steeler fans, because that O-line is not going to stand up to the Titans front. At the last Steelers game I was at a few years back, Tommy Maddox ended up at the hospital. Watch out Big Ben. After their final home game, Titans fans will be celebrating home field and a lock on the AFC.
Well ladies and gentleman, have a merry Christmas, and remember I am not just the train daddy, I am also the sports chosen one.
No one has beat Z-Train’s prediction record either of the past two weeks. He goes 12-4 in weeks 13 and 14 to push his season record to 143-64-1. Visit boropulse.com and enter your predictions for the upcoming week’s games. The top record wins a $25 gift certificate to Dugger’s Food & Fun. It looks like Zach will keep the recent prizes, but everyone is still invited to watch all the football action with Dugger every Sunday.
