The Highway 41 Toy Convoy and Show, one of Middle Tennessee’s longest running events, will celebrate its 19th year on Sunday, Nov 2, 2014. All vehicles large and small are invited to participate in this family event and are welcome to show their ride.
Everyone is asked to bring new unwrapped toy to help brighten Christmas for the children who can’t help themselves.
“Christmas is for everyone, not just the rich,” said event organizer Katy Ishee.
Toys are given out through the Coffee County Sheriff’s Department, Bedford County Sheriff’s Department, Manchester Police Department and Tullahoma Fire Department.
A car, motorcycle, 4×4 and truck show will follow the convoy with trophies awarded to the winners.
Ishee is expecting a huge turnout as the word has traveled throughout the South about the legendary convoy and the only event of its type that invites all vehicles. This is a police-escorted convoy, and of course Santa Claus will be there too.
Everyone is asked to please fly the American Flag. The fee to participate in the convoy is $10 a carload and $20 to show.
Organizers ask that everyone bring a new toy to help brighten Christmas for the kids in the area. (Used toys and stuffed animals are not accepted due to health concerns).
Virgil T & Uncle Tom Band will rock the convoy and door prizes will be given throughout the day.
Lineup begins at 11 a.m., Nov. 2, at Raiders Academy (the old Coffee County Middle School), 853 McMinnville Hwy., Manchester. The convoy rolls at 1 p.m., rain or shine!
