"One . . . Two . . . Blamm, Blamm!" by Ken Rowe

Ken Rowe is an award-winning figurative sculptor originally from Fairfield, Iowa. His recent work, entitled “Ramblings,” features small-scale ceramic sculptures with a narrative bend and a whimsical nature. His sculptures rely on a strong sense of humor and are often viewed as sardonic and quirky.

Ken’s background includes work with Will Vinton Studios and Toxic Mom Sculpting Studios, where he worked as a sculptor, mold maker and animator. Ken credits his artistry as a reflection of his experiences growing up in a small, midwestern town that taught him to look for meaning in places that you would not normally expect.

In “Dwellings,” Libby Rowe’s current photographic work, she explores the emotional state of dwelling through the construction and photographing of small sculptural houses.

Rowe frequently exhibits her photographs as well as mixed media objects and installations across the United States and internationally, including the Fotocircle Gallery in Seattle and the Zone Gallery in Kansas City. As a performance artist, she participated in the 7th Annual Feminist Research Conference in Utrecht, Netherlands, where she exhibited and executed her piece, learning feminine: posture.
