With the longer days, spring seems officially here.
Along with the tree blossoms and the songs of Mr. Blue Jay (remember, they’re the ones with the point in the back of their heads), the Blizzard of 2006 is over. Wait, it really wasn’t that cold this past season, I wonder if global warming really isn’t a hoax, as a certain bumper sticker proclaims it to be.
Have you ever been sorry about taking a few minutes and stretching your muscles and focusing on nothing more than breathing? Me neither. In fact, I’ve been finding yoga quite relaxing. You heard it here first, folks.
All Pulse readers should take the time to do yoga.

A Band Named June (with the low end supplied by yours truly, but not on tuba like the Jake Legs do it), advanced to round three of the Nashville portion of the Emergenza Music Festival last week.
This worldwide battle of the bands brings together bands in communities across the world for more than a battle, but a forum to hear other bands and reach new listeners.
Everyone should come out to the Mercy Lounge in Nashville on June 24 and check out the top 14 bands in this area as voted by the Emergenza audiences.
Journalism lost a true searcher of the truth last month with the passing of Brooks Franklin, who began and ended his award-winning career at The Lebanon Democrat. He was a source of inspiration for me in many ways. He was a good friend and was always ready with good advice and a good story, whether it was about covering murders, growing up in rural Smith County or his adventures in the music industry.
If cancer was a person, I’d kick it in the face. With the amazing advances in medicine and technology, let’s hope something is done about the horrible disease soon.
