I hope Murfreesboro’s annual JazzFest is going well.
Held each year after New Orleans’ famous event, this event draws some incredible players and fans to downtown Murfreesboro. Here’s to listening to live music outside!
Unfortunately, I won’t be able to make it this year. I must go to the Mountain. Purple Mountain, that is, a beautiful recording studio outside Springfield. We’ll see what Neil can do with the June bugs.
A new June album would make the perfect Mother’s Day present. Remember that’s the following weekend.

Everyone keep sending The Pulse those good stories, columns, reviews, music listings and such. Always keep in mind, we need your information in by the Friday before each bi-weekly publication. Everything. And bands, keep the good demos coming.
Also, potential advertisers, please know that our rates are very reasonable, considering you will be reaching the vast army of Pulse readers scattered throughout the land. While you will make a good business decision by placing an ad in The Pulse, you will also be supporting local art and culture, in the same way public TV and radio make it.
Let’s all remember Keith Richards in our prayers these days. After falling from that palm tree and getting a concussion, he seems even more disoriented than usual.
Well, the Nashville Predators went down in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs last week. And doing it in pretty bad form, really. 4-1, come on guys.
Ever since my days growing up playing ice hockey on the frozen Tennessee ponds (something like that) I’ve wanted to see a playoff game 7. It didn’t happen this year, thanks guys.
I even sent my jersey and hat with a fan to the April 30 game, the season’s final one for the Preds.
It might be that jersey’s fault, it was at game 6 of the Predators series two years ago, which saw Detroit put them out of their first of two playoff appearances. I need a new jersey, but not a Devils one.
Congratulations to this year’s graduating class of seniors. I hope you all find what you’re looking for.
Peace
