Mike and Jackie Freeman, who own the property that hosts the Tennessee Renaissance Festival each May, announced on March 30 that they have made the difficult decision to officially cancel this year’s event.
“The health and well being of everyone must take precedence in the face of the current COVID-19 pandemic. The CDC, state and local agency measures and guidelines have led us to make this most difficult and disappointing decision,” according to a statement released on the Renaissance Festival website. “The 2020 35th annual Tennessee Renaissance Festival is cancelled for this year.
“We thank everyone for your past support, and your understanding with this difficult decision.”
