The Tennessee Philharmonic Orchestra will begin its 39th concert season with a family-friendly outdoor concert billed as The Flatbed Philharmonic.
Ruth and Eddy Taylor will host this concert outside of their home, 7421 Cainsville Pk., Lascassas, from 4–6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26. A rain date has been set for the following Saturday, Oct. 3, if necessary.
The string quartet will perform light classical favorites from Mozart and Tchaikovsky to open this concert down on the farm. The brass quintet will perform American favorites and patriotic music. For the finale, the saxophone quartet brings the beat with well-known jazz and big band favorites, which might even get some on their feet dancing.
Attendees may bring lawn chairs, blankets or picnics to the lawn at this festive fall event.
Tickets, $10 for adults and $5 for students, will be sold at the event.
