It is hard to have high hopes for creative or artistic merit when watching a film produced by the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). In this case, it is best to approach the thing with the lowest possible expectations.

See No Evil is, apparently, the proposed back story for one of the WWE’s most popular characters, Kane. Wrestling fans will likely enjoy the film as a back story, however, horror fans will realize that there are much more original and terrifying options available.

The plot is taken from a list of classic horror titles such as Carrie, Psycho, Friday the 13th, and on and on.

Kane is the progeny of a homicidal religious zealot who abuses him in order to train him for his holy duty. When a group of juvenile delinquents are taken to renovate a burned hotel on a work release program, they are taken off guard by the juggernaut who, in his idiot mind, believes he is doing God’s work.

Although there are some gruesome scenes, the effects are cheesy and so is the film. It is telling that the protagonist is a girlfriend-beating pimp.
