How old are you? Do you remember riding around in your car in the ’90s listening to some grungy hair band rock? While you may not have been sure if this particular song was written by Pearl Jam, you still had the windows down, cigarette lit and were jamming out. There is a solid chance you were listening to Candlebox.

With their roots in Seattle, Candlebox released its first and most known album in 1993. This self-titled album sold six million copies and featured hits like “Change,” “You,” and “Far Behind,” all of which are still receiving a pretty constant radio rotation. Two years later they released Lucy, which sold enough records to go Gold.

In 1998, the band released Happy Pills, which had little success. Dropping off the radar for the next 10 years, the band did little together.

But in 2008 Candlebox decided to give it one more run. The band released their most current album, Into The Sun. While this release hasn’t attracted much new attention, it has given this group’s faithful fan base another work to appreciate and the opportunity to see the band live.

Kevin Martin and Peter Klett, the two original members and songwriting duo for Candlebox, decided to take it on the road for a tour backing Into The Sun. They reunited with original drummer, Scott Mercado, and hit the road.

Whether a reminiscent repeat experience or a first-time opportunity, people all over the U.S. are coming out to see if Candlebox still knows how to rock. This tour will take Candlebox all the way from Michigan down to Texas, and it includes a stop at 527 Main St. in Murfreesboro for a June 25 concert.
