Tales to Tails is a heartwarming library program at Smyrna Public Library (400 Enon Springs Rd. W.) designed to combine the joy of reading with the therapeutic benefits of spending time with dogs. Sept. 4–12 – Coffee Co. Fair
For 169 years, the Coffee County Fair has been an annual event Middle Tennessee families look forward to. Sept. 4 – Everybody Drum Some

Sept. 5 – Hummingbird Festival
The Wilderness Station at Barfield Crescent Park (401 Volunteer Rd.) will celebrate hummingbirds at its annual Hummingbird Festival set for Saturday, Sept. 5. The free, family-friendly event gives the community an up-close look into the lives of local pollinators while offering an enjoyable day outdoors for all ages. If you’ve never seen a hummingbird up close, the morning session is where you’ll want to be. Between 8 and 10:45 a.m. Cyndi Routledge of Southeastern Avian Research will be holding live hummingbird banding. Sept. 5 – Oaklands Fall Art & Craft Fair
The second annual Oaklands Mansion Fall Art & Craft Fair is set for Saturday, Sept. 5, from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Help support Oakland’s mission to enhance the community’s quality of life. Run to remember, run to honor. The annual Top Gun Night Run 6K kicks off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 11, at the Capt. Jeff Kuss USMC Memorial within Lee Victory Recreation Park (110 Sam Ridley Pkwy E., Smyrna) in remembrance of the 25th Anniversary of 9/11. The 3.7 mile course includes the Smyrna/Rutherford County Airport and Smyrna Municipal golf course with the finish line at the memorial. Sept. 12 and 13 – White Oak Craft Fair
The work of over 75 craft artisans will be available for purchase as The White Oak Craft Fair returns for its 36th year, offering something of interest for all who delight in items and products that are individually designed and handcrafted. Sept. 19 – Greenway Art Festival
All adult and junior fine artists are invited to apply for the annual Greenway Art Festival and Junior Greenway Art Festival. Smyrna’s Front Street undergoes a magical transformation into a bustling pedestrian paradise on Saturday, Sept. 26, near the town’s Historic Train Depot. Sept. 26 – Oaklands Oktoberfest

Main Street Murfreesboro presents the annual Murfreesboro Saturday Market every Saturday through October around the Historic Rutherford County Courthouse from 8 a.m.–noon. The Murfreesboro Saturday Market features locally grown produce, locally raised beef, poultry, and pork, fresh eggs, and baked goods from local bakers as well as featuring artisans, crafters and local musicians. There are 94 vendors lined up for the 2026 season, and 73 vendor spots each Saturday. Every Friday, an updated map of vendors for that week’s market will be posted on Instagram and Facebook at Murfreesboro Saturday Market.
