I Wanna be Like Mom and Dad

It looks like the medical supplies discussed in the last edition of the Pulse have found a home. There are still some questions to answer, but due to the piece on the supplies, collected for a good cause, but still not going to good use, someone has come forward locally and suggested how they can be used.

And that’s what it’s all about at this point—putting them to good use and helping save lives. It’s not about me or the Pulse, it’s not about the organizers of the original benefit, or where the benefit was held; it’s about preventing a child—hopefully many people—in an impoverished country from dying a painful death because there was not some simple piece of medical equipment, or at least preventing some pain.

And I don’t think that’s sensationalizing or being grotesque. I know there are hundreds of incidents where something simple could make a difference. Stay tuned.

Don’t look for rewards for yourself, stop worrying, just love and be ready to be used for amazing things.

The Stones River Relay is coming up. Who wants to sponsor a Pulse team by lending or paddling a canoe? bracken@boropulse.com

The little guy has had a strong desire to smack our computers, cook on the stove, drive the car and drink water from the big-people glasses. But I can’t blame him for wanting to be like mom and dad; we’re awesome!

“So, what do you do, Dad?”

“I’m a hustler, son!” (I’m in advertising sales, I’m an entertainment journalist, I am the American Dream!—all correct answers also.)

Ralph Stanley is coming to Cumberland Caverns March 12. I plan to be there, and Jr. just may be joining me for that Saturday afternoon show.

Play Bach, win great money in the local Bachfest this month.

Have goals, aim high, accomplish something, but don’t just live for the future. God wants you to enjoy today.

Peace

Don’t want to make you guy’s heads swell, but I really like the track you have taken with print & on-line Pulse.

Your work shows a high degree of professionalism.

You two should be proud of your work. I am.

One thing you need to do, update bookie-boos pictures.
