Just when you think Everything’s Nice has done it all, Christ Mironescu and his crew blindside dubstep fans with a multi-headliner show, giving Nashville an opportunity for the first time to see djs who, up until now, have not set foot in the capital at all.
Everything’s Nice teamed up with Household Entertainment, out of Atlanta Georgia, to bring U.K. djs, Nero, Plastician, and Virus Syndicate, as well as J. Rabbit from the Bronx to Limelight. This was the first time Nashville has ever seen a show featuring any international multi-headliners. Period.
“When Everything’s Nice bought this show, it gave the Nashville and Murfreesboro area a sense of identity and a way to legitimize them as a place that is perfectly capable of bringing huge shows through,” said Christ Mironescu, “One or two years ago, these acts would never come through Nashville, and now, here they are. We wanted to show everyone that we are players, too. It feels great because it also showcases all the hard work Everything’s Nice has put forth so far.”
Not only did the show feature all of those headliners, but also showcased the local talent as well.
“We matched the local talent up with their respective headliners,” Christ continued, “For instance, Nero specializes in drum and bass, so we found local djs Legion and Squake, who are also classified as drum and bass, and gave them the opportunity to play with someone they aspire to be like.”
The show was very well put together. Everything’s Nice handled all production aspects of the show, bringing in Full Spectrum Entertainment for the lighting and design.
“Everything’s Nice wanted to ensure that the production value was not only stellar, but also appropriate for the headliners that came through,” Mironescu stated.
The production value definitely was immaculate. There were lasers upon lasers upon lasers, dual screens on stage, smoke machines, and clear sound with hard hitting bass. Two painters created beautiful artwork to the right of the stage as people got down and dirty to the womps that rattled the rafters. Even early on in the night, people were getting dancing hard to bass that got dirtier than the dirtiest hostel you could find. It was the biggest party Nashville had ever seen. By the end of the night, hundreds of people were packed in like sardines throwing hands in the air and having an epic time. All throughout the show, people who had the famous Everything’s Nice logo t-shirt on, were wearing it with pride and had a huge smile donned on their faces.
“I’ve been doing this for sixteen years now, but I have to say this new scene is amazing,” said Michael ‘M.J’ Jackson, of Household Entertainment, “The prominence of dubstep now is refreshing. From 2003 to 2008 there seemed to be nothing going on. There was a dry spell. This is our first time to take it on the road, so we wanted to form an alliance with people we felt comfortable working with to create a successful tour.”
The collective Dub the Halls tour touched down in Orlando, Nashville, and Atlanta, and was a success in all three cities.
Hopefully Nashville will be done recuperating from this blow out because Everything’s Nice has another face melting show planned that The Murfreesboro Pulse will also be covering: UNIFY.
Yes, Unify is exactly what the name insinuates. Christ has lined up every single local act under one roof. It will feature over 60 djs from all crews (Mashville, Strictly Dubstep, TeaDance, Represent, StrictlySocial, Y2K, TnHouseCollective, KingFunk, Openhouse, Tennessee EDM, Dedication), four themed dance arenas, two full bars, and of course, lighting and design once again by Full Spectrum.
