The Block hosts ’80s Night Benefit for YEAH

One of Murfreesboro’s newest restaurants and music venues, The Block, is hosting an ’80s themed show to benefit YEAH (Youth Empowerment through Arts and Humanities), a nonprofit organization that helps provide opportunities in the arts to students ages 10–17 through events such as the Southern Girls Rock ’n’ Roll Camp and the Tennessee Teens Rock Camp. The evening’s bill features three tribute bands, including Goblin King as David Bowie, the Deathless as Joy Division and the Ozzmonds as Ozzy Osbourne. The event, slated for Friday, Feb. 5, will also feature local DJs who will be spinning your favorite ’80s tracks throughout the night. A $5 donation is suggested with proceeds going towards YEAH’s scholarship fund. The Block is located at 123 SE Broad St.
