School of Rock Murfreesboro is bringing the heat this summer with its next Rockin’ for a Reason concert. This free, all-ages event will take place on Saturday, July 18, at Hop Springs (6790 John Bragg Hwy.) with the show kicking off at 1 p.m. and benefiting Greenhouse Ministries.
Three times a year, School of Rock Murfreesboro students take the stage at local venues to perform for causes that matter to their community. Every dollar raised goes directly to the featured organization.
This summer’s beneficiary, Greenhouse Ministries, serves the underserved through connection-based relationships built by local volunteers. The organization meets practical needs, provides resources and classes that promote growth and stability, and builds meaningful relationships between clients, volunteers and community partners—strengthening individuals, families and the Murfreesboro community as a whole.
The July 18 show will feature all of School of Rock Murfreesboro’s student performance groups as well as the adult band. Food trucks will be on site, making it a perfect afternoon out for the whole family.

Admission is free, but attendees are encouraged to donate to Greenhouse Ministries at the event or in advance at greenhousemin.org/donate. New socks—one of the most needed items for the individuals Greenhouse Ministries serves—will also be collected at the show.
“We believe music has the power to bring people together and make a real difference,” said Christy Stewart, owner of School of Rock Murfreesboro. “Rockin’ for a Reason gives our students the chance to perform while giving back to an organization doing incredible work right here in our community.”
