Tennessee Tempo 2025 Season Highlights: UPSL Spring Champions; U19, U16, U15 Boys State Winners

Murfreesboro’s Tennessee Tempo Football Club had a great 2025, at multiple levels.

From national championships to undefeated Tennessee State League campaigns and players of the week, 2025 was a year to be grateful for, according to the team.

The Tennessee Tempo FC took home the 2025 UPSL Spring National Championship, while also adding in another separate national tournament appearance and conference championship.

Led by Kwadwo Poku, the Tempo Academy U19 boys lost only once all season in the state league and won NCS-D1, won the State Cup, and will appear in the NPL playoffs.

Manning the ship as the UPSL team captain and the U15 boys head coach, Nathaniel “Bongo” Bedai led his group to a state league title in the Governors Cup with an undefeated 9-0-0 record.

Tennessee Tempo FC introduced its WPSL team for the summer and started off with a bang. Both Jessica Meira and Ella Tuplin were named in the Pioneer Division Best XI. Tuplin was also named Offensive Player of the Week in week two.

Continuing to grow year by year, the Tempo Academy added girls teams in 2024 and it has paid off already. The U19 girls were state league quarter-finalists in division three.

Another state league winner in NCS-D1, the U16 boys took home their first title and doubled it up with an NPL South Atlantic Premier League West Division Title. Gaining a playoff berth with that trophy, the U16 boys will look to remain undefeated in all competitions.

Wrapping up the trophy-winning in 2025, Brandon Gonzalez’s U13 team captured three titles and will appear in the NPL playoffs. Starting in March, the team won the Oxford Ambush Cup then followed it up with titles at the Bash in the Boro and the MTFC Quest Fest.

And then in January 2026, the Tempo announced that the Tennessee Tempo FC Academy will merge with the Hawks Football Club, out of Antioch.

As part of the merger, all Hawks Football Club teams, players and programs will now operate under the Tennessee Tempo FC Academy name. This unification will also allow Tennessee Tempo to expand its footprint into Nashville, further serving the Middle Tennessee soccer community while providing increased access to high-level training, competition and development opportunities.
