2026 Independence Day Celebrations in Rutherford County Include:
July 2 – Smyrna Independence Day Celebration
Enjoy music, food and fun activities at the annual Smyrna Independence Day Celebration at Lee Victory Recreation Park (110 Sam Ridley Pkwy. E.) on Thursday, July 2. The celebration begins at 5 p.m. with a concert by Rubik’s Groove, vendors, inflatables and a dunk tank; the fireworks show will begin at approximately 9 p.m.

The nearby Smyrna Outdoor Adventure Center will also host free outdoor activities, additional vendors, a kids entrepreneurial fair, and free access to its summer exhibit, From Here to There. For more information, find Smyrna, TN Parks and Recreation on Facebook.

July 2 – Tennessee Philharmonic Patriotic Revue
The Tennessee Philharmonic Orchestra presents the Philharmonic Patriotic Revue in honor of our beloved country’s 250th birthday on Thursday, July 2, at 7 p.m. at Center for the Arts (110 W. July 4 – Celebration Under the Stars
In Murfreesboro, celebrate the nation’s 250th year of independence with great music, lots of fun and beautiful fireworks on Saturday, July 4 beginning at 4:30 p.m. at The Fountains (1500 Medical Center Pkwy.). Brought to the city by Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation and Middle Tennessee Electric, enjoy a DJ, food trucks, splash pad and live entertainment by John Foster at 7:30 p.m. and the fireworks show at 9 p.m.

(Pets, alcoholic beverages, cooking grills and personal fireworks or sparklers are not permitted.) Parking is free and is first come at the Fountains as well as directly across Medical Center Boulevard in the grassy area. July 4 – Rockvale Independence Day Celebration
The oldest Independence Day celebration in Rutherford County began July 4, 1928 and continues at the Rockvale Community Center (9972 Rockvale Rd.) on Saturday, July 4, kicking off at 10 a.m. and running into the afternoon. Step back in time and enjoy an old Southern-style picnic with barbecue, burgers, Kona ice, homemade ice cream and fried pies. Enjoy family-friendly hayrides, youth softball and a cornhole tournament. Free and open to the public.

July 4 – La Vergne Independence Day Celebration
The La Vergne Independence Day celebration is scheduled for Saturday, July 4, at Veterans Memorial Park (115 Floyd Mayfield Dr.). The free event includes fireworks, food vendors and live music from Zone Status. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and music starts at 6 p.m. Families are invited to bring blankets and lawn chairs, as well as their own picnic dinners. Visitors may also dine from a selection of food vendors who will be on site. The spectacular fireworks show will begin at dark. (No fireworks, including sparklers, are allowed to be shot on city property unless they are part of the official show.)
