MT Alum Converge on Nashville Shores
Saturday, June 12, will be MTSU Alumni & Friends Day at Nashville Shores, 4001 Bell Road, in Nashville. Registration will be from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Lunch will be served from 12 p.m.-2 p.m. Nashville Shores opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 6 p.m. Children under age two are admitted free of charge.

Leaning the Art of the Pot
Studio S Pottery will host clay pottery classes throughout the summer. Sessions include wheel throwing, raku, hand building, metal sculpture and children’s classes.

Paws and Pearls
Paws and Pearls, a celebration to benefit the Jesse C. Beesley Animal Humane Foundation will be held Thursday, June 10, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at 2553 Pitts Lane, Murfreesboro, the home of Nancy and David Dodd.
The wine tasting will include hors d’oeuvres and garden attire is suggested.

Many Christians can Lose Hope
The Church@Crosspoint, 610 Dill Lane, Murfreesboro, will offer the Focus on the Family Truth Project, free, every Wednesday night starting June 9. The program will run through Aug. 25 from 6:30-8 p.m.

A personal sense of significance is rarely experienced and many spend their money and time on things that fail to satisfy and begin to wonder what life’s ultimate purpose really is.
The Truth Project discusses the importance of applying biblical truths and wisdom in solving everyday problems and living the Christian worldview in daily life.

Event Teaches Ghost Hunting
The local Society of Paranormal Investigation and Research in Tennessee (SPIRIT) will conduct a two-night ghost hunting seminar Tuesday, June 22, & Thursday, June 24, at Out Front on Main.
Participants will hear from Terry Mayo and his experienced team of ghost hunters. The seminar will cover topics from equipment and local laws to personal accounts of ghost experiences.
Out Front is located at 1511 E. Main St.
The group will also conduct an overnight trip to a haunted hotel the night of Saturday, June 26.
