Boro Fondo, Murfreesboro’s annual bicycling event parading through town as it hits numerous area concerts, returns to an in-person format Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 25–26.

The festivities kick off at 12:30 p.m. on Sept. 25 at MOAB and the party doesn’t stop until the following night with a big Sunday evening show at Crossroads.

“I’m just glad we’re able to meet in person,” said Hope Headden, considering the 2020 online-only Fondo substitute. “People attending this year can expect some wonderful bands, talented artists, lots of biking and great energy . . . it’ll be a great time!”

Scout Red, another Fondo organizer, supporter and participant, said the Murfreesboro music scene has changed over the past couple of years while concerts and gatherings have been limited, but looks forward to Boro Fondo as “a really cool opportunity to see new bands that no one’s seen before, and see the resurgence of older bands that haven’t played in years. It’s like a little revival, a new era.”
